Yoga is a form of a comprehensive (holistic) body and mind exercise. MemoMatYoga™ focuses specifically on the wellbeing of the brain. It’s main focus is to help maintain senior cognitive functionality, as well as brain wellbeing and memory.
Cognitive skills are the skills your brain uses to talk, think, memorise and plan. Cognitive abilities include linguistic skills, consciousness, perception, memory, analytical abilities and motor skills.
Studies have shown that memory disorders develop 10–20 years before their actual onset. Therefore prevention is also one of the key goals of the MemoMatYoga. It is developed specifically for people aged 50+ who feel the need for a brain exercise and whose physical fitness is sufficient for basic yoga exercise.
